You may be wondering what Reiki is when discovering that our handmade jewelry and metaphysical tools are infused with Reiki healing energy. Well, to sum it up Reiki is a hands-on healing modality that uses universal life force energy to perform healing. It is over 2500 years old and was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki is a Japanese word that means universal light force, “Rei” means universal, and “ki,” means life.
In Reiki, students receive attunements that connect them directly with universal light force energy and activate their healing abilities. When you use Reiki, you’re allowing the universal light force to flow through your hands to perform the healing. It is heart-centered and intentional energy always knows where to flow to the recipient. You’re able to give Reiki to everything from people to pets, plants, food, jewelry, and crystals.

History
Dr. Usui rediscovered Reiki on his quest to understand how Jesus performed his healings. He traveled to Mount Kurama where he fasted, meditated, and prayed for 21 days to receive the answers he was seeking. On the 21st day of his mediation, he saw a beam of light that hit his head and knocked him down. Then, he saw millions of light bubbles in every color and each bubble explained the Reiki symbols to him. He finally had the answers he was seeking!
As he came down the mountain he started healing instantly. He spent seven years traveling and healing around. He came across some beggars and performed healing on them thinking they would move on and stop asking for money. Years later when he came across these beggars and saw they were still in the same place, he had an epiphany: “One must want to be healed and feel gratitude for the healing to work.”
In his lifetime, he attuned 18 masters. He also taught about the following Reiki principles that practitioners should abide by as healers.
It is a great reminder to always honor and be gentle with ourselves. Should one fall off our path, we can always come back and connect to the energy. Once attuned, you’re always attuned.

Learning Reiki
There are 3 levels in Reiki where you learn about the sacred symbols that act as keys to activate the healing.
In Reiki One class you learn about two important symbols and how to give reiki to yourself. After this class, you are instructed to go home and continue to practice on yourself for about 20 days before moving on to the next class. In Reiki level two, you learn additional symbols and how to send distance Reiki. After this class, you are asked to continue your practice and attend Reiki healing circles for about a year before becoming a Master. Lastly, in the Reiki Master, you learn additional Reiki symbols and how to attune others and to teach by continuing to spread the healing. I was attuned by
My Practice
When I started my Reiki journey, I had no idea what doors it would open or the immediate changes my life would take. The teacher warned us about life-changing events that happen only to help us on our journeys. After Reiki Level 1, I met my guides and developed a stronger connection to the earth. In level 2 when I started giving Reiki to friends and family, their guides and people from the other side would come in and give me messages which were all new to me. During this time, I experienced the most changes in my life, I moved away from my hometown and started focusing deeper on my spiritual path as well as my business. Soon I started receiving messages from my guides to spread this light with everyone. Oftentimes, I found myself giving Reiki to my jewelry that was meant for some of my friends. I was surprised to later discover they had received the healing they needed through my jewelry. This is when I realized I needed to incorporate this healing into my business and truly give it meaning. One day while I was sending Reiki distance healing, I heard a voice that was loud and clear saying “You’re Ready!” I didn’t think much of it until someone in my spiritual class told me directly that I was ready for my Reiki Master class and took this as a confirmation that the universe was sending me a sign that was loud and clear. When I became a Reiki Master my Clair senses and abilities developed further but perhaps the most important lesson I learned was just to let go and to let spirit guide me to continue spreading healing into the world. My mission for my business is and will always be to spread love and healing into this world through my jewelry, crystals, and healing tool.
